Hi, thanks for taking the time to look at my site. I hope you find some of the content of interest whether you are a fibre artist, student, gallery, collector or otherwise!

Here’s a little bit about me, my work and why I choose textiles as my primary form of artistic expression. 

I studied fine art at art college and spent several years after graduation as a painter, illustrator. and teacher.  I think this background and influence plays into a painterly style of finished surface in my work and my continued interest in education. 

I use woven tapestry as opposed to any other medium as it gives me a form of artistic expression that has no parallel both in the making process and in the finished work.

There are many challenges to weaving tapestry and I am still discovering new and interesting techniques that keep me engaged with this medium after many years of weaving and teaching.

Tapestry weaving can fulfill the need we all have to use our hands, mind, body and imagination to create a physical legacy using colour and shape that connects us to our past, present and future.
